01 / COMPACT RESPONSE

A dependable response from a low, firm surface

Cricket Pro combines a 9mm short pile with a dense 70,000 TFT construction to create the tight playing finish required for consistent cricket practice.

The natural-wicket target

Artificial cricket pro grass is kept low, firm and even, just like a natural wicket, so the ball can respond cleanly from the surface.

How Cricket Pro responds

Cricket Pro recreates that compact contact zone with short, closely packed synthetic fibres. A smooth, firm, compacted and level base is essential to the finished result, a smooth concrete slab is ideal.

What it means in practice

Bowlers and batters get a reliable practice surface that is ready for regular sessions.

Make the complete area work
01

Prepare the base.

Plan a suitable supporting surface and drainage for your cricket area. The most ideal surface for regular use is a smooth concrete slab.

02

Plan the pieces.

Choose 2m or 4m roll widths and the available cut lengths for your layout. If joins are required, it is best to have them located as close to the middle of the pitch as possible.

03

Care for the wicket.

Remove debris and follow the care guidance for your level of use.

Why choose Ausgrass
Does Cricket Pro need sand infill?

No sand is required for residential or low-to-medium traffic. For high traffic, use one 20kg bag of kiln-dried sand per 10–15m².

Where should Cricket Pro be used?

It is designed for cricket applications such as backyard wickets, practice pitches, club nets and school cricket areas.

Is the surface a complete pitch system?

The turf is one part of the installation. Plan the base, drainage, run-up and containment for the space before ordering.

How do I order different pieces?

Select a width and length, then add the quantity of that piece. Repeat for each different size.
